Outboard Engine Hub is an Australian-based retailer of used outboard motors and JDM engines, operating from Winnellie, Northern Territory. We sell second-hand marine outboard motors from brands including Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Mercury and Tohatsu, and used JDM engines and engine packages sourced from Japan. All motors and engines are sold as used unless explicitly stated otherwise in the product listing.

Placing an Order

When you place an order through our website you’re making an offer to purchase the listed item at the stated price. Your order isn’t confirmed until you receive a written order confirmation from us by email. We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion, including if a product has been listed with an incorrect price or description due to a system error. If we can’t fulfil your order we’ll notify you promptly and issue a full refund of any payment received.

Pricing

All prices displayed on our website are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. Prices are for the motor or engine only and don’t include freight unless explicitly stated. Freight costs are calculated separately at checkout or by arrangement. We reserve the right to update pricing at any time without notice, though any price change won’t affect an order that’s already been confirmed.

Payment

Payment is required in full before an order is dispatched. We accept payment through the methods listed at checkout. All transactions are processed through secure, encrypted payment gateways. We don’t store your card or banking details. If a payment fails or is reversed after dispatch, we reserve the right to recover the goods or pursue the outstanding amount through appropriate channels.

Product Descriptions

We make every effort to describe our used motors and engines accurately, including condition, known faults, service history where available, kilometres or hours of use, and compression test results for engines. All items are second-hand and may show cosmetic wear, minor surface marks, or signs of age consistent with used marine equipment or imported engines. Photographs are taken of actual stock and represent the item you’ll receive. If you have questions about a specific listing before purchasing, contact us and we’ll provide additional information or photographs on request. It’s your responsibility to confirm a motor or engine suits your intended application, vehicle, or vessel before purchasing.

Warranty

Every motor and engine sold by Outboard Engine Hub comes with a 90-day warranty from the date of delivery. Full details of what is and isn’t covered are set out in our separate Warranty Policy available on our website. The warranty is offered in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and doesn’t limit or replace those rights.

Returns and Refunds

We offer a 45-day return policy from the date of delivery. Full details of eligibility, process, and refund timeframes are set out in our separate Refund and Returns Policy available on our website. Returns must be initiated by contacting us directly. Do not send a motor or engine back without prior authorisation.

Shipping and Delivery

We ship Australia-wide and internationally using reputable freight carriers. Delivery timeframes are estimates and aren’t guaranteed. We’re not liable for delays caused by freight carriers, extreme weather, natural disasters, customs processing, or circumstances beyond our control. For international orders, any customs duties, import taxes, or other charges imposed by the destination country are the buyer’s responsibility. Full details of our shipping arrangements are set out in our separate Shipping Policy available on our website. Risk of loss or damage passes to the buyer once the item has been collected by the freight carrier, though we’ll assist in resolving any transit damage claims with the carrier on your behalf.

Cancellations

If you want to cancel an order after payment has been made but before the item has been dispatched, contact us as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to accommodate cancellation requests made promptly. If the item has already been dispatched at the time of your cancellation request, the standard return process applies and return freight costs will be the responsibility of the buyer.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Outboard Engine Hub’s liability in connection with any purchase is limited to the purchase price paid for the relevant motor or engine. We’re not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss, including loss of income, loss of use, damage to your vessel or vehicle, labour costs for installation or removal, or any other loss arising from the use or inability to use an item purchased from us. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that can’t be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms and conditions limits or excludes any right or guarantee you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that can’t be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You’re entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You’re also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure doesn’t amount to a major failure. These rights exist regardless of any other terms stated here.

All content on the Outboard Engine Hub website, including text, images, logos, and design, is owned by or licensed to Outboard Engine Hub. You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, or use any content from this website for commercial purposes without our written permission. You may share links to our website and use content for personal reference.
